Happy Mother's Day!

Hi everyone!

Happy Mother's Day! I hope everyone is enjoying a day of pampering and relaxation.  Dominic blessed me with waking up at 5 am this morning and continued to give me smiles most of the morning.  Miraculously there was a beautiful present from Dominic and Brandon on Dom's changing table this morning that made me cry. Brandon did an excellent job picking out a beautiful necklace for me.

This week in the world of Dominic: Saturday we went to an Arias family picnic in Palm Desert. Even though it was warmer than I was expecting, Dominic got lots of time with his Grandma and Grandpa, Auntie and Uncle, and cousins.  He got a chance to see ducks, for maybe the first time I think, and roll around on the grass, and take walks with Grandma and Grandpa.  I think he enjoyed it immensely because he didn't want to take a nap! We also tired bananas for the very first time...I can say with all certainty that he liked them!  He stole a few drinks of water from almost everyone's water bottle as well, it only makes sense that my son likes water with as much as Brandon and I drink...one may call us fish.  By the time we left, I think we were fighting some aching gums, because poor little guy had so much drool all over him we had to actually wipe his whole chest and chin off twice. Oh well, we made it through!

Dom is still scooting all over the place and is getting quite quick now, he has made it up on all fours for about 2 seconds, but getting stronger all the time! This week I caught him pulling on both the dogs and the cats whiskers, and the other day while I was nursing him, he pushed his foot over to Kona's crate and was getting his foot licked while he ate...and laughing about it! What a stinker!

Work is getting busy again, which makes me VERY happy! At times like this I am thankful for every little thing.  Brandon is doing well, he has another eye injection in two weeks, so please keep praying that the medicine continues to work.

As for me at this moment, I am enjoying my mother's day watching television, getting caught up on Gray's Anatomy, the Big Bang Theory, and How I Met Your Mother, watching my beautiful baby boy sleeping in his swing (Thank you again Tracy!), and yelling at the dogs for chewing on sprinklers.

I think that is all for the week. I wish all of you mommies out there a Happy Mother's Day! Take Care and know that I send my love! Dominic send raspberries and smoochies.

All my love,
Dawnnie
