39 weeks.....

It hardly seems possible that my expected due date is in 2 (yes, that is 2) days!!!! I had yet another doctor's appointment today and I guess it went well. Dominic's head is further down, and that is a good thing, but my blood pressure was up a little higher again than last time and now I have started to lose weight. I have been put under orders to do kick counts and make sure that he is kicking at least 6 times in a 30 minute period and if not then I am to go to the hospital. Next week is another Dr. visit if I haven't delivered, where they will check the amniotic fluid around the baby and go from there. I wasn't sure whether to cry or be happy after all that information! It was a lot to take in all at one time. After 3 phone calls to my wonderful support team I was feeling much better!

I'm still working, although I am starting to slow down. I am going to miss work so much and all my kids that I work with. This week has been kinda hard because I feel like I am having to say good bye. I think all of my clients know why I'm going to be gone but I have been reassuring them that I am coming back!

On a lighter note, Brandon and I are going to go buy Halloween candy because it looks like we will be home for the holiday tomorrow. I hadn't bought candy because I wasn't so sure, but after my doctor's appointment today I think it is safe to say I will be home. Wish us luck as we are about to embark on this new adventure of parenthood! We are so excited and can't wait to meet our little guy. (And No, I didn't ask how big the doctor was speculating Dominic to be. I was a little freaked out with everything else, I forgot, so sorry! You will all have to wait just like Brandon and I....until he arrives).

Take care! All my love~
Dawnnie

Dawn, I am praying for a safe, quick delivery of Dominic and looking forward to seeing your much loved baby boy. Keep up the blog entries and don't worry about posting the pictures. You will always have time to share them after the birth.
