33 weeks and counting.....

Hi all! As you will read, and most definitely laugh, you will see what an interesting and eventful week! First lets start off with my doctors appointment today. It went well, a quick check on my blood pressure, weight gain, and Dominic's heart rate and Brandon and I were out the door. I love having short doctor's appointments. It makes me feel better about all the craziness everywhere else!

Now, lets talk about the interesting week. It started after my baby shower down in the desert, which by the way I have to say a HUGE thank you to my mother in law and my sister in law for putting together such a nice shower. It is always hard for me to be the center of attention in that respect, and to not be the person throwing the party, so I worked really hard on just letting them do what they wanted. They did a great job! When and if I get pictures from the shower, I will try to put them up. (on a side note, now that I have my laptop back and I have my camera, I can't find my cord to connect my camera to my laptop! go figure! I will be looking for that in the next few days so I can hopefully get those pictures up that everyone keeps asking for!) Anyhow, Bran and I got back kinda late from the baby shower, only to find out that Kona (our female pup) had been sick while we were gone! Poor baby! We were outside, trying to give Kona a bath, wash out her crate, and clean the carpet at 11:30 at night. Needless to say it was really late when I finally got to bed that night! Poor thing, her tummy has bee upset all week and the dogs have been eating chicken and rice for breakfast and dinner. Which I think they prefer to their dog food, Go Figure!

Monday night was even more interesting. Brandon went on the graveyard shift this week, so now when I come home, I am home alone. We did this schedule for a lot of years in our marriage, but I have been spoiled this year by him working days. When I arrived home on Monday, it was just about dusk, and I let the dogs outside to go potty and walked outside with them. Bosco went running to the edge of out property where we have some sort of fruit tree and attacked a skunk that was there. Thank Goodness Kona stayed with me and didn't go down to the tree. It took a few minutes of attacking the skunk before Bosco would even come up to me, and when he did, it took everything in me to not throw up because he reeked of skunk! With Brandon at work that left me to wash him and try to get the skunk smell off. I ended up sending my neighbor to the pet store to get skunk odor neutralizer and I continued to wash Bosco for about an hour. It was 9 o'clock at night, I still hadn't eaten, the dogs hadn't eaten, the house smelled like skunk, I smelled like skunk and all I wanted was for Brandon to come home and help me! It was a terrible night! In the end, Brandon did come home and check on me, wash Bosco's face and make sure I went to bed, because I was so tired and had been crying from being frustrated, not to mention my back was killing me from bending over for an hour washing Bosco and being 8 months pregnant! Not the way anyone should begin their week!

Tuesday was a better, no skunk incidents at least! Wednesday was a little rough because I was up 3 times with Kona, because she was crying so I took her outside, just to make sure she didn't get sick in her crate, so I was tired when I woke up. The heat and the humidity on Wednesday was so miserable, I ended up coming home early from work, because I was just too dang tired from the insane week. Tomorrow is Friday, so I have that to look forward to! And then Saturday is my baby shower in Corona, so I have something fun to look forward too.

That has been our totally insane week. I hope that all of your week has been less eventful than ours! I wish each and every one of you a healthy and restful week. Take care!
All my love~
Dawnnie
