Let's start with where Brandon and I have taken Dominic. Dominic has traveled to Orange County to eat at P.F. Chang's, which he then proceeded to sleep through lunch. I was ok with that because I got to eat a hot meal~ something I am happy to have. If you like spicy food and you happen to find yourself at P.F. Chang's, I highly recommend Chang's spicy chicken and the MooGooGaiPan...they were delicious! And for the appetizer..the Sichuan flatbread! It was so good!!!!
We also went to San Diego to visit our cousins...I love going down to Coronado Island, I think it is so beautiful. We had lunch at a great little diner about a block from the beach and our cousin Johanna and I talked about surfing sometime together. I can't WAIT to get back in the water and try out the surfboard Brandon bought me right before I got pregnant and haven't been able to use yet! I look forward to going surfing with her!
I started back to work and I am loving it. Before I went back, Brandon and I decided to put Dominic in daycare so that I would be able to focus on working and not be distracted. It was the best thing I could have done! I still miss Dominic, but I love being able to work and know that Dominic is safe at his daycare! Dominic and I drive down to the desert together, I drop him off at daycare, and then it is off to work for me. I love that I get time with him in the morning and when I pick him up, so for right now, we have a good thing going right now.
Brandon went back to work on the 18th of January. He was happy to go back to work but not happy to be back on graveyards! I was not looking forward to basically be a single mommy for two weeks, but I figured I could do it! When Brandon works graveyard, he leaves before Dominic and I get home, and he gets home shortly before we leave for the desert. Dominic and I had a good night on Sunday, Brandon's first day back. We got through it pretty good, and we slept ok! Monday the 19th, was Brandon's dad's birthday, so Dominic and I spent a little time with him and got home in time to see daddy and give him a kiss! We were very happy that we got to see Brandon before he went to work. About half hour after Brandon left for work, I got a phone call from his supervisor....unfortunately Brandon had been in an car accident on his way to work. I was fine until I found out he was being transported to the hospital...so one of the girls from Brandon's work drive to our house and picked up Dominic and I and drove us to the hospital. Brandon was released from the hospital that night and I was VERY happy to drive home our family safe and sound. Bran is feeling ok, with a lot of pain in his ribs, back, and neck, and currently we are waiting for the X-rays to tell us if there are broken ribs or not...hopefully not. So the accident: Brandon was turning left into his work when this DUMB little girl (yes, I am calling her Dumb and little because she was young enough to have to call her daddy) ran a red light and plowed into Brandon, hitting him at the rear passenger wheel and door. Calling her Dumb and little is nice compared to what I said after the accident! She was obviously not paying attention while driving because she never hit the brakes! She just ran right into him, and Brandon accelerated trying to get through the intersection prior to getting hit. The sad thing is Brandon was driving the Mustang....the good thing is that the Mustang held it's own and the accident could have been much, much worse! On the good side, the intersection is video taped, and the video tape shows that the girl is the one who ran the red light! Hooray! We are waiting on the insurance companies, and waiting to find out if the car is repairable or if it is getting totalled out. At this point it is all a waiting game, but prayers would definitely be appreciated at this time!
I think that is everything! I promise to work on pictures soon...I have a bunch to put up, I just have to upload them to the computer...in all my free time! hehehe. I hope everything is well with everyone and I will keep people posted on the car and the accident as I find them out. Take care!
All my love,
Dawnnie
